RSS Google searchresults

MSN and IceRocket already offer RSS feeds based on search queries, I wonder when Google will step up. Until that time there are two sites that supply an RSS feed that is based on a Google search query. The first one is from Ben Hammersley and allows you to subscribe to a search request, so […]

Find travel deals via RSS

Bob Tedeschi explains in an article at NYTimes.com what you can do with RSS in the travel industry! He’s telling people that E-mail alerts on travel deals, in particular, can be easy to sign up for and equally difficult to keep up with. Why not create a MyYahoo page and let the deals come to […]

Digg + Feeds = FeedButler

Each day it seems there are more and more new feed-initiatives. RSS usage is climbing and so are the applications. Via webosphere I read about FeedButler:
FeedButler is a feedreader with social bookmarking and non-hierarchical editorial control.
All stories are automaticly added using feeds submitted by the users. When a new story is imported from a […]

Hmm, I think cross platform compatible feeds are hard to find nowadays;) They will need to do better with the Quicktime RSS feed, and maybe that’s why they are searching for someone that has […]

Attention will solve information overload

Craig Barnes, President and Founder of Attensa, writes on his blog about Attensa and believes attention is the holy grail to solving the emerging problem of information overload. I could not agree more. And in his opinion, the overload problem will be obvious to the masses once Outlook 12 (and IE7) introduce RSS capabilities to […]

Someone publishing a blog, but doesn’t know what RSS is!

This is a very typical story about the integration of RSS. The author of BNpositive.com recently visited the website cbcampus.com (powered by CareerBuilder) and noticed they have a blog, but didn’t see an available RSS button to subscribe. So he sent them an e-mail and got the following response:
Thank you for using CareerBuilder.com! I apologize […]

RSS2Email: Squeet

Steve Rubel blogs about Squeet, a new service that streams RSS feeds via email. A similar service can be found at FeedBlitz.
I don’t like these tools, but it could be big. Hey, even Microsoft is incorporating RSS and E-mail so why not?
