RSS To Go

NewsGator Go!, previously only available for Windows Mobile, is now available for Blackberries and Java-capable phones including models from Nokia, Motorola, and Samsung.
Now you don’t have to endure RSS withdrawl when you are on the go. Newsgator made this announcement last week but I don’t generally watch the mobile market.
Apparently other RSS/mobile solutions have […]

Happy Birthday, Smiley!

In the totally useless but cool news department, the Smiley turns 25 in September of this year. An article by Carolyn McCarthy in CNet News chronicles the life of the smiley from birth until now. Here’s part of what Carolyn has to say about it:

After all, the phenomenon is about to turn 25–a […]

Thoughts on Ajax Home Pages

Michael Arrington over at TechCrunch has some interesting statistics on customizable, Ajax-rich home pages.
The newer startups like Pageflakes and Netvibes are not included but the statistic that got me was Yahoo’s domination of this market.
Here’s Michael’s take on it:

Get this custom mug at Zazzle

The New MyYahoo!

Had some time to roam around the ‘new’ MyYahoo! when it finally loaded. It is very slow - yes slower than the ‘old’ one. The first thing I noticed (other than my old theme didn’t seem to play well with this version) was that my feeds didn’t load. It said there […]

The Yahoo! Joke Is On Me!

Carolyn McCarthy over at Webware (a Cnet site) writes about the new MyYahoo released today in beta. As slow as Yahoo is sometimes, I thought the current MyYahoo might still be beta! Anyway, I wanted to see it so I clicked on the link. Seems like if you already have a MyYahoo […]

FeedBlendr - A Clarification

When I wrote about FeedBlendr yesterday it seems that I implied it is new. It is not - this is a beta release of its second version.  Some people thought I was saying it is an ‘easy’ Pipes application.  Not true either - this is for people who would like to blend feeds into one […]
