AdSense for feeds starts next week

by Juned on May 31st, 2008

Talk about apt, over at Burning Questions the official blog of Feedburner, a post,Into the wild: AdSense for feeds, announced that starting next week they (Feedburner) will be running AdSense on a select number of feedburner publishers. This is going to be a dress rehearsal for a full press move of the tag team of Feedburner-Ad Sense.

A big opportunity for Feedburner, Feedburner publishers , and AdSense. It seems to be a mutually beneficial relationship. I seem to hear more than a fair number of imaginative cash counters clicking at the same time: anticipating revenues coming in.

Still the nice thing about it is that it is voluntary. The scheme is not to be implemented across the known FeedBurner universe. FeedBurner publishers can still choose.

Choice is important.

I wonder what AdSense on an RSS feed would look like?

How well do you think this will this be received by users browsing the feeds? If they inject ads directly on the posts that’s one thing but what if they start injecting posts into feeds? I’m not so sure that I would like having another post to click through in my feed burner.

@Jesse, Not well And that is why I like that it is voluntary. As I understood their post you have to sign up for it.
