Bombarding friends and enemies with photos

by Juned on March 4th, 2008

Just finished a trip to Angkor Wat with friends. One of the drawbacks or fun, depending on how you look at things, is that there will always be a river of photos or snaps taken from the trip. There is a way of showing friends and love one pictures as the trip progresses. One way is to store and update photos or snaps through flickr. And one can show and tell your journey as it progresses.

How is this done?

1) Create a set or a set of sets for your journey.

2) Arrange the default setting for that particular set or the default setting for all uploads for for the duration of your trip. You can set it so that only friends and family can see your pictures or that it be seen by the public.

One can also set the rest of the details of the pictures like copyright information or tags.

3) Send the RSS of the flickr set to your friend and family. And this can be installed in the feedreader of your choice.

4) Your friend or family can then sit back drink coffee or soda. Wait for the latest photo upload from your truly.

5) Remember to add a title to to your picture so that your friend and family member would knew whether he is looking at a art piece or a food dish or both.

This seems to be another practical way of showing one’s pictures without becoming excessively boring. And another way of creatively using RSS feeds.
