CNet News.com’s RSS Page Needs Help
Marjolein over at Clever Clogs has a rant about CNet News.com and the “underwhelming implementation of RSS functionality at CNET News.com”.
I agree with all her points but most with the implementation of full-text feeds instead of the first sentence of posts. Here’s an example:
Blog: Ever wanted to score some hot Michael Kors boots, but didn’t want to book the trip to Rodeo Drive? FashMatch.com is bringing…
What is this about? I don’t know unless I take the time to click and read until I get it. Then I might not have wanted to read it at all so I’ve wasted time going there when I could have known by the full-text feed whether I wanted to investigate further or not.
