Cyndicate goes 1.2

Came across Peter Cohen’s post, Cyndicate RSS reader improves performance, over at Macworld.com. And it reports about the new version of the RSS/Atom Aggregator (Cyndicate RSS Reader 1.2) for the Mac OS (and the PowerPC).

So what are the features and new features of Cyndicate?

Changes and added feature Cyndicate 1.2 include

_ Added Twitter as a Share This option for articles.
_ The database will now optimize itself on quit once every 7 days.
_ Check at start-up will no longer check feeds set to check manually.
_ Video enclosures now have their own download option in preferences.
_ Added an new check interval, Explicit.
_ Fixed an issue with accented characters in feeds with a Latin1 encoding.
_ Fixed an issue with the Fetch Info option for feeds.

One interesting “feature” of Cyndicate is its privacy policy that reads:

This is interesting because a lot of the feed readers do track viewing habits of its clients,.
