Feedlanguage
Meet Antti Kupila certified RSS addict. The self-taught web and graphics designer & developer Kupila launched Feedlanguage (beta stage). Feedlanguage translates the content of a RSS feed into another language [Source]. For example from English to Spanish and from Russian to English - and also Chinese to English.
As the Feedlanguage website states:
The internet is full of amazing content. RSS is a way to make it even easier for us to access, letting the content we are interested in come to us, instead of forcing us to go to the content. The internet is also multilingual with loads of cultural variety which is great but shuts away a lot of content that is written in another language. FeedLanguage.com fixes that!
FeedLanguage.com lets you subscribe to a feed and get it automatically translated to your own language. A variety of languages are supported so you should find a combination that fits you.[Source]
The service is built upon Google AJAX Language API and was originally developed for personal use until Kupila decided to make it available to the public. It is still in its Beta testing stage and I guess a few willing beta testers are needed just send your feedback to Kupila.
I tried to use it and although to have the translated feed in place did not take so long. One just needed to place the url of the feed and VIOLA! your translated feed. Once installed, though there seems to be some problem. The information does not seem to be available. Kupila did mention it was in the beta stage but I think and I reiterate it is worthwhile to give a feedback because an RSS translator is important because:
It makes available a whole new set of information and knowledge but it is also important that the translated information and knowledge is also accurate. An inaccurate translation can be worthless or potentially dangerous.
