Google Homepage Update
Do any of you use Google as your home page? If so, did you notice the quiet change they made this morning? Michael and Scott over at Monkey Bites did and here’s what they have to say:
Google quietly updated the RSS widgets on the Google Personalized Homepage this morning. Rather than simple headline links, there’s now a nice AJAxy button that can expand individual items in the feed. The preview contains the text of the feed and any images as well. I don’t know about enclosure links because I don’t subscribe to any podcasts through Google Personalized Homepage.
It’s no substitute for a full on RSS reader, but if you use Google Homepage to stay on top of the day’s big news the new widgets are a nice way to quickly scan a story.
A comment from a dedicated Google Homepage user - he already wants to know how to turn it off! I looked at it and I think I’d like it - if I used Google as a home page.

I actually use a tabbed system for my homepage: Google Reader, Google Homepage, and Fopx2 (my own creation). This won’t do much for me though. ;)

Jake - I’m thinking that others might like to know how you set up your homepage to open in certain tabs. Care to share???
