Increase use of RSS feeds in the corporate world
A survey of libraries showed a high percentage organized and maintain RSS feeds for the members of their organization. I got this from the post Corporate library use of blogs and RSS under Blogging Section of SLA IT. The study was done by the Primary Research Group.
20% of the libraries sampled organize and maintain RSS feeds for executives or others in their parent organizations, which is higher than I expected. The median number of individuals this service is provided for is 5. [Source]
This is for institutions or organizations with libraries. How about the other organizations, corporations or businesses?
I guess that is why NewsGator has gotten more funding to expand their corporate and business RSS service.
NewsGator seems to be doing the right thing. As it was said in the film The Treasure of Sierra Madre, Ders’ still gold in dem hills!. In this case, the Halls of the Business and Corporate World.

The link for “Corporate library use of blogs and RSS” goes to page not found. Help :). Thanks too for the great post. There are so many ways that corporations can use RSS to inform both internal employees, customers, and the world at large. It is good to see increased adoption in the corporate world.
