Peter Greenberg and RSS
Top Travel expert Peter Greenberg makes it easier for travelers to learn of travel deals using RSS feeds. Greenberg offers the feed through his website, Peter Greenberg, which is also complemented by forum. Both applications for the services were provided by hospitality Web 2.0 marketing solutions firm Travelscream Technologies.
The forum and RSS feed were added to provide Greenberg’s fans and readers with the useful and comprehensive travel information on a real time basis.
Of course the the website and the service is enhanced by Greenberg himself, who is well known in the United States as a travel expert:
Greenberg has become known and trusted by millions for the advice, tips and information he imparts as the Travel Editor for NBC’s Today show, CNBC and MSNBC, as the author of The New York Times best-selling Travel Detective series of books, as the host of the nationally syndicated Peter Greenberg Worldwide radio show, and through his appearances as an expert guest on a range of television programs including the Oprah Winfrey Show and The View. RSS Feed .. rather RSS Feeds
A hop and skip to the site’s RSS page , here, reveals that around eleven feeds are offered and they are grouped as (i) Peter’s Travel News - the main RSS feed - and (ii) Travel Deals and promotions - which covers a very diverse array of topics from Family Travel deals to Urban Travel and Exotic Travel adventures.
Aside from the lack of an RSS button at the homepage, which I suspect is more for aesthetic reason more than anything else, The use of the RSS feed is quite good. It is a pity that I do not travel around that corner of the world.
