Search an Aggregate of Medical RSS with Medworm

by Juned on August 28th, 2007

Meet UK-based IT engineer and RSS user Frankie Dolan in his desire to provide up-to-date information to the medical professionals who are members of his family, set up an RSS feed provider and search engine called Medworm. Or in Frankie’s own words:

I had been using RSS in the technology sector for my own personal use for some time when I began to realise that it could be of great benefit to some members of my family who are doctors. Since medical professionals are constantly in need of the latest information on medical research and the best methods of treatment, and are also usually overworked with little time to spare, RSS seemed ideal since it could provide the very latest information that is both concise and highly relevant to a specific area of expertise. It is an interesting, informative, and practical site. And this is because (i) it aggregates as much Medical Related RSS feeds; (ii) It allows the user to search through all accumulated RSS feeds; and (iii) the collection is updated on a daily basis.

And of interest to Information Scientists and Librarian Medworm has a sister Libworm, at present in beta stage.
