Stopthejunkmail.com’s RSS Feeds
Stopthejunkmail.com a company that stops junkmail and plants a tree in forests launched its brand and website [Source]. And with the help of Boulder, Colorado-based Search Marketing and Social Media Agency Room 214 came up with maximized search visibility for its site. And it shows if you look at the website here there is: (i)minimum clutter (ii) All the buttons and the icons in their proper place within specific boxes. In other words one look at the site and its all there not confusing and not an eye sore. I particularly like the placement of RSS chicklet not too small not to obscenely large as Goldilocks would say it was just right. Now lets take a look at the RSS Feeds.
The site offers two RSS feeds one for the news and one for the blogs. Although on the main page only one icon/button is found if you click it, you are led to another page where the two feeds are shown and each with their brief description. The feeds were created using Feedburner and can be subscribed to using the usual Feedburner options and ways. Good news is that both feeds deliver clearly delineated (blog posts and news)items in full text form. This I liked.
One wonders though why subscription via email was not an option included. Are less people subscribing by email today? Maybe Perhaps the reason for including only one and RSS button on the front page is to avoid confusion. Still the way to the two feeds seemed just a little bit long winded, just a little bit. But all of these are just minor observations. All in all I like the site and I like the way they packaged the RSS feeds - delineated, focused and full text.

Thanks Juned for your post about stopthejunkmail.com’s RSS feed structure. We are just getting started with this technology and it is great to know we are getting it right! We have not quite finished setting up the system yet, and hope to have the email option in the future. We really appreciate you taking the time to tell others about our RSS feeds.
