A Feed Is Born

To twit or plurk that is the question

Plurk seems to have benefited from the loss of Twitter. In my circle of the twittersphere there was a mass migration of twiiters to plurk. Not really mass migration but fellow Twitter users were also setting-uip accounts in Plurk. And its not because Plurk is different from Twitter. And not because Plurk presents the time line in a different way.

It was because twitter was down. The down time experienced by users was unnerving, Prompting a lot of people to move to plurk. While still maintaining their profile on err twitter. It is amazing to see the mass migration of users after and extensive time twitter was twittering to and fro the brink.

Anyway, It seems that everything is fine now. Except that most people have plurk and twitter are using both of them. And this reminds me of the story of a man who had two wives. Now the man was in his forties and had a healthy mane, but his hair had an equal amount white and black hair. During the morning the first wife who loved her husband’s grey hair took out the black hair. And in the evening the second wife who loved her husband’s black hair took out as much grey hair as she could. Within a few weeks the man who had a magnificent mane of hair became bald, which satisfied both his wives but … what about him?

Thus, I wonder what will become of this situation of twiiter and plurk users. Only in the world of information.
