Trends in Japan: A guilty webfeed read

by Juned on October 21st, 2007

One often hears the phrase beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. This seems to be also true to certain extent to interest - points of things of interest. This particular came blog, called Trends in Japan, to my attention with a particular with the heading Deep-fry diving for goldfish in Japan post a few months ago. Since then I have been reading this blog faithfully… of course through an RSS Reader. Here is its feed URL.

It is an interesting web feed since it features a lot products and businesses in Japan. And a lot them are quite interesting ranging from on-line mobile communities, Gundam to the First annual Adult Treasure Expo hits Japan - ATE 2007.

The Blog itself has been set-up to help business interests make sense of the Japanese Market, as can be seen here. However, this does not take away the interest in seeing Japanese products and consumer trends in Japan.

The web feed itself is exemplary and has a high score in terms of the following:

1. Reliability

2. Inclusiveness

3. Key Info

4. Timeliness

5. Authority

It nearly is the same as with the blog. Except, it does not have the on-line shop. But what I like is the information. And it comes in full text with embedded videos and pictures.
