Weather via an RSS Feed

by Juned on March 9th, 2008

Deciding whether to bring your umbrella or eat an open sandwich today. One way is to look out at the window and figure out from the cloud formation and temperature whether it would be sunny or wet. Another way would be to subscribe to the weather RSS feed of your city or town from WeatherBug.

Free WeatherBug RSS gives you the same live local weather millions have come to rely on. The feed delivers customized local conditions, forecasts, and more for your area or ZIP code of your choosing. Start using Free WeatherBug RSS today to get the most accurate weather available through your favorite RSS reader.[Source]

How do you do it?

Simple just go the site and then click on Start Free WeatherBug RSS Feed button. This will take you to form where you have to fill in the necessary information and information you want to receive and these include:

  • Current Conditions (Text/HTML[?])
  • Forecast (Text/HTML[?])
  • Community Photos
  • Temperature Celsius/Fahrenheit
  • Country
  • City
  • State (Applicable only if USA or Canada)
  • Zip Code (Applicable only if USA or Canada)
  • It will take only a few minutes to do this. And you get your weather tidbits and forecast delivered to you. A few observations about the service: (i) I was unable to get an RSS feed for my country so there maybe some countries that will not have or will be difficult to get an RSS feed, I will try again tomorrow. (ii) Additional weather information may be included in the near future.
